For those who haven't yet caught a show with the Green Bay-based rock band Gin, we suggest you find a designated driver and plan for a party! Ben, Shane, Joe, and Chad have been lighting up stages all over Wisconsin for the better part of the decade, and their experience as musicians and entertainers is evidenced in the show they deliver. Hittin' the WAMI Award Ceremony on Monday, April 12th? If so, be sure to join the party afterward at The Bar on the Avenue (right across from the PAC) for more great music! The Bar will be hosting a 3-band show featuring Conscious Pilot, plus WAMI nominees' Meantooth Grin, and 4th Floor. The evening will finish an all-star jam, so if you're a playa, bring your ax! 3/1/10 WAMI Nominations!
We would like to congratulate all those bands and artists that have received nominations for this year's WAMI awards. We are pleased to say that several bands from the Plugged In roster made this year's cut including 4th Floor for Hard Rock Band of the Year, The Groove Hogs for Swing / Big Band Artist of the Year, and Meantooth Grin for Blues Band of the Year. Also included in the list of this year's nominees is Brian Gruselle (Groove Hogs) for Keyboard Player of the Year and Steve Cooper (Groove Hogs) for Reed / Brass Player of the Year.
